Service basis
Coach Dean Tutoring provides online educational support for pupils from KS1 to KS4, including 11+ preparation, SATs, GCSE, core subject tutoring, mock exams and home education support.
The exact lesson format, lesson length, price, payment timing and schedule are confirmed before booking.
Assessments and recommendations
An assessment or enquiry discussion helps identify the pupil's year group, current needs, confidence, subject gaps and exam goals. Recommendations are based on the information provided by the parent and the pupil's starting point.
A recommendation is not a guarantee of a particular result, score, grade or school place.
Bookings and payment
Lessons, mock exams or tutoring packages are booked once the parent has agreed the format, schedule and fee. Payment terms should be confirmed in writing before lessons begin.
If payment is required in advance, the parent should be told what the payment covers, whether it is refundable and what cancellation notice applies.
Cancellations and missed lessons
Cancellation rules should be clear before booking. A fair policy normally explains how much notice parents need to give, what happens if a pupil misses a lesson, and whether a lesson can be rearranged.
If a lesson cannot go ahead because of illness, technical problems or unforeseen circumstances, Coach Dean Tutoring will aim to communicate promptly and agree the next step.
Online lesson expectations
Parents are responsible for ensuring that pupils have a suitable device, internet connection and learning space. Pupils should attend on time, behave respectfully and keep lesson communication focused on learning.
Coach Dean Tutoring may stop or rearrange a lesson if behaviour, safeguarding, technical or communication concerns make it unsuitable to continue.
Home education support
Online home education support can help with structure, planning, core subjects, assignments and exam preparation. It supports home education but does not replace the legal responsibility parents hold for ensuring their child receives a suitable education.
Practice tests and mock exams
Mock exams and online practice tasks are designed to support preparation, timing, confidence and topic diagnosis. Scores are used to guide learning and should not be treated as a guarantee of future exam performance.
No guaranteed results
Tutoring supports learning, preparation and confidence, but no exam result, school place, grade, score improvement or admission outcome can be guaranteed.
Changes to services
Coach Dean Tutoring may update lesson formats, availability, pricing, plans or online tools. Any agreed booking should be honoured according to the terms confirmed with the parent, unless both sides agree a change.
