What Urmston families should know
Published reporting says Urmston Grammar is part of the Trafford Grammar School Consortium affected by the move from GL Assessment to FSCE for 2028 entry.
From 2029 entry onward, the test is expected to move into the summer term of Year 5. That makes Year 4 foundations and early Year 5 diagnosis much more important.

What to build before the test
Pupils should strengthen number fluency, fractions, percentages, worded problems, reading comprehension, vocabulary and SPaG. Timed work should be used to identify gaps, not simply to create pressure.
